There are black pices on both of those connectors the need to be pulled out to release the connectors - study them closely. The connectors for the air bag are unique (one yellow, one orange). One for steering wheel controls, and two for the air bag. Inside those holes are bolts - take them out. On each side of the plastic cover/trim for the back of the steering wheel, there are two little quarter sized hole cover things you pop out. I put it back on and mine is a little out of allgingment!!!Īnyway, here's how I did it, but I don't reccomend it highly because it involves taking the air bag/horn assembley out - I'm not an expert.įirst!!!! Disconnect both leads to the battery and let it sit a long while (30 mins or more) to dissapate any residule charge- you don't want the air bag to go off while you're working on it.
